Confrontation 40K holds a legendary place in Games Workshop lore. The company commissioned Les Edwards to create the art as a gamebox cover for an unreleased game, and would go on to appear on the cover of White Dwarf issue #137 in May 1991. It remains one of the most iconic and celebrated depictions of hive city, and a dramatic piece of Oldhammer-era Warhammer art.
