Who is artist Raphael Mazzucco?
Raphael Mazzucco is a Canadian commercial and fashion photographer as well as a contemporary artist. His work has featured prominently in ad campaigns for Victoria’s Secret, Guess Jeans, Ralph Lauren, L’Oreal, and Bergdorf Goodman. Mazzucco is extremely in demand as a celebrity photographer, working with notables like Matt Damon and Susan Sarandon for diverse publications like French (and Italian) Vogue, Marie Claire, and Playboy. For several years he photographed Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models.
These days Mazzucco has shifted much of his focus to his contemporary art. He has produced an art book and photo essay alongside music impresarios, Jimmy Iovine and Sean “Diddy” Combs. He has exhibited in several notable galleries, including London’s Castle Fine Art, Mayfair.

In his early years, Mazzucco was a professional soccer player - living for many years in Italy where he was able to study the greats of art and fashion up close. When he returned to Canada in the 1990s, he began commercial photography work for Calvin Clein and the record company Network Cracked. After a series of iconic album covers, Mazzucco moved back to Milan to study photography in depth. It was then that he would gain access to the fashion world, bringing his work in front of a larger audience and ultimately pushing him into the spotlight.
