Birth Place: USA
Biography:
During World War II, Harold LeDoux joined the merchant marine. He saved enough money to go to the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts afterwards. He moved to New York City, where he started out drawing 'Famous Funnies' comic books. Later on, he assisted artist Dan Heilman on the 'Judge Parker' strip. When Heilman died in 1965, LeDoux took over the artwork completely. Along with the original creator, psychiatrist Dr. Nicholas Dalles, and later Woody Wilson, LeDoux continued this famous series created in 1952. King Features distributes the strip to about 175 newspapers over America. LeDoux retired in 2006, after having worked on the strip for over 50 years.
