Also known as:  Jones, Francis C.

Birth Place: Baltimore (Baltimore Independent City, Maryland, United States)

A decorative figure painter from Baltimore, Francis Coates Jones trained during the 1870s with elite French academicians, including Henri Lehmann at the École des Beaux-Arts, and Jules Joseph Lefebvre and William-Adolphe Bouguereau.
