The figural silver gilt clock case with two addorsed blackamoor figures with ruby and sapphire studded loin cloths astride sapphire encrusted leopards with ruby set eyes, holding up woven baskets studded with pearl, ruby and emerald flowers and leaves, flanking circular clock housing with synthetic ruby surround, enameled grape and leaf border, and enameled bird and flower back, with pendant enameled lappet with seed pearl drops, the entire housing on a rectangular plinth with lapis top, enameled grape and leaf border, raised on four feet.
The clock housing contains a removable Vauchez Frères time only gilt verge fusee movement with two-footed pierced balance cock and silver disk regulator, enameled border to face.
Condition Report*:losses to gilding and enamel, cracking to lapis, minor losses to stones. Movement in need of restoration, with losses to enamel on face.
