United States Army; Hart Galleries, Houston, Texas
This epic bluebonnet painting is documented in Porfirio Salinas, by Ruth Goddard. After being drafted into the army during World War II, Salinas was allowed to continue to paint while garrisoned at the army base. (From Chapter 2, "Salinas and Uncle Sam") Originally located in the mess hall, this mural-sized painting was removed from the wall in its original location, restored, and remounted on honeycomb panel. A complete restoration and condition report is available. Please contact Heritage Texas Art for report details.
