The domed shade of this lamp has been constructed using the Tiffany-style lead came technique whereby the edges of small translucent components are coated in lead and soldered together to create a stained glass effect. In the present instance, however, it is not glass that has been used, but ancient fossilized tree resin. Each nugget-like section is a piece of Baltic amber, in a wondrous array of orange and yellow shades and the effect when illuminated is a gorgeous and calming golden glow. No wonder that crystal metaphysics considers amber to be a powerful agent for absorbing pain and negativity and for cleansing of the chakra. Raised on a bronze tree-form lamp-stand, the whole beautiful piece measures 16½ inches high.
