The seventeen elaborately turned and painted police truncheons from the late 19th and early 20th century cased in a frame of carved wood, with a lion's mask to the center and to each side above a fluted columnar element, red velvet upholstery to the interior back panel.
Condition Report*:With visible loss of paint to truncheons and denting and scratching commensurate with age and use. Dessication to the upholstery and loss along the rims of the frame, especially the back corners. Truncheons not examined outside of case.
