The tall case clock with shaped hood surmounted by a cast eagle upon an orb clutching a snake, flanked by putti representing Industry and Knowledge and extensive gilt bronze rocaille mounts with a female mask below clock face, the waisted case of contrasting fields framed in gilt bronze centering a trophy with winged herms on each side, foliate paw feet rest upon shaped plinth, the white enameled clock face with Arabic numbers and Roman chapters.
