This is one of the most important Moran works in existence: the early, iconic image proved to be hugely popular and was instrumental in launching the famed artist's storied career.

This painting was reproduced as figure 508 in The Great American Pin-Up by Charles G. Martignette and Louis K. Meisel, Taschen Books, 1996.
