Ray Prohaska was an influence on many budding artists as a teacher at New York's Art Students League. As an illustrator, he worked for the top magazines of his day, including Good Housekeeping, Ladies' Home Journal and Collier's. He also produced advertising work and did a memorable series of paintings for Whitman Chocolates during World War II.
