This painting was used as the basis for a series of ads for Cluett's Donchester collar. Minor alterations to the image were made by the company over the five-year advertising campaign.

Condition Report*: Original canvas has been cut off stretcher and mounted on board, buckling along lower region of canvas, UV light reveals major strengthening to right and central areas of background, scattered area of paint loss to upper right corner, figures are in very good condition.
