This piece also was reproduced as a full color lithograph/calendar top, c. 1940.
Condition Report*:
Slight stretcher creases visible; original canvas loose on stretcher; small dent to back of canvas in yellow background of upper left quadrant; approximately a 1-in gouge in the yellow background of upper right quadrant of canvas; minor abrasion and tiny paint chips in gentleman's left shoulder; pin-sized hole in canvas located on gentleman's vest; scattered staining throughout white border. UV examination reveals a 1 to 2-in long band of in-painting along top edge of canvas; scattered inpainting throughout yellow background. This lot is otherwise in good condition. Unframed.
