Marks: various effaced marks, partial dated mark 746 to rim of lid

The cylindrical peg tankard raised on three ball and claw feet, the body with chased and engraved foliate and strapwork decoration above feet, D-shaped handle terminating in shield form boss and thumb latch with beaded and engraved crown motif, the domed lid inset at center with partially gilded Christian IV speciesdaler dated 1628 within crimped bezel, surrounded by shaped reserve engraved with a floral motif, ACD, HPS, 1754, the edges of the lid with chased and engraved foliate and strapwork decoration.
