A FRENCH ENAMEL ON COPPER TRIPTYCHMaker unknown, probably Limoges, France, circa 1850

The enamel on copper triptych with central image of the Coronation of the Virgin Mary holding the infant Christ on a blue starred ground, two angels above with crown, angelic figures surround in adoration with two at lower edge holding banner: HEC. EST. ILLA. DEQVA. SAGARA. CANVNT. EVLOGIA. SOLE. AMIGTA. LVNAM. HABENS. SVB. PEDIBZ. STELIS. MERVIT. CORONARI. DVODENIS., left panel of kneeling king with Saint Peter standing, right panel with kneeling queen and standing behind a princess and lady in waiting, crowns with gold foil roundels set with cabochon stones, gilt wood frame, central frame with columns to either side, carved floral band above, floral band repeated on three sides of flanking frames.
