This illustration appeared in an issue of Boy's Life magazine.

Sidney Riesenberg, an accomplished landscape painter, but better known as an illustrator, received his art education at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Later he contributed illustrations to magazines such as Harper's, Scribner's, Collier's and The Saturday Evening Post. Riesenberg is also noted for the bold posters he created for the Marines and Liberty Loan campaigns. From 1905 to 1909, he traveled, and painted Western subjects for such books as With Whip and Spur, and Pioneers All.
