Heritage Decorative Arts Auction Posts Impressive Results!

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Auction Galleries' latest auction of Decorative Arts, which included Fine Silver, Statuary, Art Glass, Jewelry, Fine Furniture, and more, reported results of $1,404,964, although after auction sales are still ongoing and are expected to raise the total to even higher levels.

'Although the entire auction was extremely strong, the bidder response to the statuary was far above our pre-auction expectations,' said Michael Wolf, Heritage's Deputy Director of Fine and Decorative Arts. 'The Francisco Zuñiga onyx statue entitled Sylvia Nude was a real standout, realizing $83,650. Another exceptional result was obtained by the Emilio Zocchi statue of Michelangelo, which brought $53,775.'

'Art glass was an impressive area in this auction' said Wolf, 'with strong bidder participation. A Tiffany Favrile Apple Blossom Glass and Bronze table lamp brought $38,240, while a French glass vase by Emile Gallé realized $11,352.'

'I'm very pleased by the results of this most recent event,' Wolf said, 'and I look forward to our next Decorative Arts auction, to be held October 20 & 21, 2006 in our Dallas, Texas headquarters.'
