Description:
MONTBLANC: 4TH OF JULY LIMITED EDITION 56 SKELETON FOUNTAIN PEN
20th century
Pen comes complete with outer box, inner box, black lacquered display box, booklet and all original packaging and paperwork. Limited Edition: 01/56.

Celebrating the bravery and determination of the 56 signatories of the Declaration of Independence, this pen's impact styling creates a powerful declaration of its own. Limited to only 56 pieces, this scarce pen's body is made of red precious resin, and is striped in mother-of pearl and white gold filigree, invoking the image of the proud red and white stripes of America's flag. The mother-of-pearl bands are inscribed with 13 signatures of select representatives, one for each of the original colonies. The cap is encircled by 13 diamond "stars", symbolic of the fledgling nation's first flag. Finally, the pen's two rings are studded with brilliant cut diamonds. The nib is medium platinum-plated 18K gold, and features the engraved portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the father of the Declaration of Independence.
