MALCOLM S. FORBES COLLECTION: THREE COMMEMORATIVE MANTLE CLOCKS AND A COMPANION VOLUME DATED 1919 TO 1946
10 inches high (25.4 cm) (tallest clock)

Comprising an ebonized and inlaid clock in Regency taste presented by Queen Alexandra in 1919, a simple oak British Art Deco clock presented by a bowls club in 1939, and an Art Deco shagreen-cased clock presented to Lt. Col. John Christopher Smuts in 1946, together with a biographical volume of his father, the South African statesman Jan Christian Smuts.

Ebonized clock with some splitting and general wear, shagreen with signifance loss to base and dry throughout, book (QTO) fair with original dust jacket
